TCM/ECM

I AM SENDING MY COMPUTERS TO VECTOR TUESDAY I THINK THE ECM/TCM ARE THE ONES BETWEEN THE DRIVESIDE FENDER AND THE MOTOR. SHOULD I DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FIRST, ARE THERE ANY TRICKS TO GETTING THEM OUT?

THANKS
JAMIE

That's for an '04 5.3L. ECU and TCU are separate items on '05 5.3L and newer.

Here they are on an '05, to left of battery and in front of the PS fill tube. They are under a black plastic cover. No tools are needed to remove the units.

You're right! Same procedure though.
