Did you use a load resistor like this?

Or did you just wire in a standard resistor?

This isn't my daily driver so I have to take her word. I still laugh though when I do drive it. We call it the blinker on crack. lol

Again, thanks for the info and fast replies, it is much appreciated.

What I did with mine was drill a little hole out the back of the lamp assembly and soldered a wire to the one end of the filament and took the other and moved it to the other side of the connector, where the other filament is attached to ground. The wire coming out the back gets connected to the lead that goes to the low filament on the top lamp.

Are you sure anything here is connected to the BCM? With mine, Keys out of the ignition, and 12V to either or both lines, at the flasher relay, going to the turn signals will make them turn on. The dash arrows turn on too, completely bypassing the flasher relay.

i just looked at the Power Distribution Schematic and from bulb it goes to the fuse box into the "turn signal/hazard flasher module" it is located just behind the Data Link Connector in dash

on my other '06 chevy car it does go straight to the BCM - just figured that this '08 would just be the same... i guess it is because it also controls the trailer connector and that would be cheaper than changing the BCM if it was to get shorted out....

thanks for pointing it out.... Aloha
