lift gate wont lock rear glass wont open

I'm not quite sure what is going on but my rear liftgate will not lock and the glass wont many times I push the button open the glass or to lock the truck I still can't get the glass open and I still can't get the lift gate to lock help please

This has been covered several times here. I'm surprised no one has directed you. I just fixed mine. The small orange wire inside the grommet tube was broken. This is where all the wires and rear washer hose goes through between the body and the lift gate. It is diffficult to pull all the wires out of that tube just to reapir one and more difficult to fish them back through. So I just slit mine along the side. Stripped and crimped the two broken ends together. Sealed with clear silicone. And then secured with small tie straps. Works fine. If it craps out again I will solder in an inch or so of additional wire (for strain relief) and use heat shrink over the bare wire connections. Hope this helps and maybe you have it fixed already?
