Got a few Questions for those who have done the redline hood strut mod. I have a 94' camaro dying in my parking lot and I am thinking about taking the struts off that and putting them in the TBSS. How long are the redline stuts? where are the mounting points on the hood and fender? What did the kit come with: struts, brackets, rivets, bolts? Thanks in advance and I'll let you know how it turns out.
My 2003 TB was the guinea pig for the Trailvoy's. The kit comes complete with the struts, mounting brackets and rivits. If you go to the Redlinetuning.com website, they have a video of them in action. I just added the kit to my 2007. I got the Plus version. Everything is done in black powdercoat. I also have pics in my gallery. If you use the ones off of another vehicle, the holding power might not be enough to hold up the hood. If you don't have the brackets in the right place you could also damage your hood and/or fenders. Just my :m2:.
In the picture below, you can see what was included in the strut delivery tube. These are the ELITES for $119/pair
Two struts, 4 powdercoated mounts, 2 sets of pop rivets, and a step by step photo outlined set of instructions..
Gonna try and stop by a buddies house after work to install them.. if he will help me. I don't have a rivet gun and he does.. plus, his house is on my way home.
