Glad to help, and thanks for the report. I'm an engineer who HATES mysteries, and symptoms that are inconsistent with possible root causes bother me a lot. If you hadn't used the trailer connector before, it would be very, very odd to blow those exact fuses and no others, unless there's a chance you were troubleshooting the connector early on with the meter set to a continuity or Ohms function, which transforms a meter into a fuse-blowing device like a paper clip. I've seen it done, because I've accidentally done it myself.

I got a lighted hitch cover for xmas and plugged it in and nothing... I have an adapter to 4 plug. I used this tester I have http://www.westmarine.com/1/1/16963-...ng-tester.html and everything works as it should but the cover still doesnt light up... if the tester says everythings working properly it wouldnt be a bad fuse would it?

Well, that tester used a lot less current because it's LED based. But maybe your cover is bad. Use a 9V battery and some clip leads to test it safely.

Yea we hooked it up to my jump booster and some wire and it worked. Thought maybe had a bad bulb but it worked... Odd thing is we plugged it into my parents blazer and it still didnt work.... and I know their plug works cuz we jsut haulled a trailer a few days earlier... so maybe something is up with the cover.. Ill try and return it for a new one and see if it works then..

Well I returned the cover today and got a new one. Tried it and STILL nothing... so I looked at the adapter and forced the tope off and found out that it was wired wrong!! So i fixed the wiring and put it back together and IT WORKS!!! Thank god!!!

Roadie,

Logging into this post late, but glad that it was up here for later reference.

Just fixed my trailer lights . . . yup, fuse #42!

Thanks for the help,

Donovan
