What Tranny Year Models Will Interchange

I have a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer 2wd with a 4.2l6 & 4L60-E transmission.
It appears the transmission has bit the dust and was wondering if anyone knows what year and models can be used to replace it with without modifications ???

Thanks in advance,
R.

The 2005 and up had an input speed sensor added that the older ones did not have, so 05 and up should match. Make SURE the trans you get has one or it won't work in your vehicle.

AND... If the used trans you get is junk, you are wasting your time and money. I know it's expensive but you are much farther ahead to get the stock trans rebuilt...

If they can find someone to do it right and be honest...

At my transmission shop I used to tell people who wanted a used one that they have a used one in it now!

Car is in the shop now …
I opted for a rebuilt unit from Chevrolet that to my amazement came with a 3 year warranty.
Having a friend who is the parts manager at a local Chevrolet dealer who got it for me at cost + 10% helped in the decision.

… great point, and well taken Mike.

Thanks to all that replied and hopefully the information provided will help others with a similar problem in the future.

Transmission

I now own an 08 Trailblazer after driving an 05 Trailblazer to death. I have a Jasper rebuilt I bought for the 05 and after 1000 miles the engine of 300K gave up the ghost. So I had the Jasper taken out and in the garage which I will sell you. Call me at 985-630-4663. Not far from you in Covington LA.
