You didn't say that. I can understand them paying to check and see if your run in with her did damage. Then using info you got from that inspection to find out what parts were worn, but that's not how it read.
I would apologize, accept with your snarky attitude toward me when I didn't have the whole story, I believe you don't warrant one.
