4l60 issue help auto/4wd

Driving down the highway about 70, suddenly the rpms jump like it's in neutral. I get no response from forward or reverse gears, nothing from any 4wd setting. Get it to a shop, fluids are clean, the tranny is code city. Get a used tranny, same symptoms, it's also code city.

Is there a chance that it's not a tranny issue and its something else?

Can I direct swap a 4l65?

I asked if it rolls in park. Can you roll the vehicle, you know, move it, in park?

Not rolling in park means the T/C is not shredded most likely but I'd really like to know the codes it has. Is the trans full of fluid?

It was full when it died, I can only work on the assumption that the mechanic filled it up all the way after swapping it

Does it need more than the factory 4 or 5 quarts. To prime the pump or something?
