Clip on mirror extensions

I want to pull my boat this summer so want some clip-on mirror extensions so I can watch a bit more than my regular mirrors allow. I looked at a few for GM 1500's but none fit. Has anyone had any luck in finding (and using) a decent set of extensions. I haven't tried the generic ones with the clips and straps but that may be what I end up getting if there are no 'decent' clip on ones.
