Okay, for some reason Trailvoy won't let me post links to GMT Nation, and instead redirects them to a 404 on Trailvoy.com. So instead, Google "How To: Lower Ball Joints GMT360" to find the full post with pics. Yes, the pictures are essential.

However, that only tells you how to get the ball joint out and back on. To actually get to the ball joint requires a different how-to.

One final note: When taking out the ball joint, I thought that there was a kind of cap on it that I needed to take off. This is not the case; once you've removed the crimps, the whole thing should fall through if you hit it enough with the right tools.
