Replace OEM caliper if upgrading to Power Stop Z36 Truck and Tow Brake Kit

2004 TB 4.2L V6 3.73 ratio. Buying a travel trailer (dry weight 3200lbs) and want to upgrade the brakes and rotors to the Powerstop Z36 kit. I found a kit that also comes with calipers for $150 more. $430 total. Is it necessary to also replace the calipers? Ones on now are stock and have never been replaced.

Bonus question...the kit comes with powerstop extreme ceramic pads. Anyone used those or should I just get the rotors and buy Hawks?

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Looks like fancy, expensive, pretty-painted but otherwise essentially stock parts to me.

Slotted/drilled rotors are a scam. They're usually cheap generic "white box" Chinese rotors that someone has bought in bulk, then threw on a milling machine before putting in a fancy box and moving the decimal point on the price tag.

I've become fond of "Performance Friction" brake pads--made in the USA, not India or China.

What's wrong with the pads 'n' rotors you have now? I bet they work about as good as the expensive stuff (unless they're worn-out.)
