Oil leak smell inside the cabin

New member Just Dave here. . . Question: Had tune up done on my 08 Envoy w/161,000 miles on it. I've had it back for about two weeks and when I run my A/C, I get a strong smell of oil, like its burning off the manifold type of smell. This had never happened before the work I had done to the engine. They only replaced the spark plugs, oil change, some suspension and front brake work. Mechanic did complain a bit about how difficult it was to get the plugs to the rear of the engine.

Is it possible he may have created an oil leak somehow and is burning off before it hits the ground? No evidence of leaking on the ground and the smell is more pronounced when I accelerate.

Just Dave

Not sure what your '08 looks like, but on my '04 I6, there's a tube that runs from the manifold(?) up to the bottom of the air intake resonator box. Make sure that's connected - it's easily overlooked.
