I'm sensing some pretty agressive tone in some of these posts. I read through a lot of posts before getting my Vector, and it is naive to think that when you mod, that there is no risk because there is. I don't recall Vector giving any type of endorsement to fab-ing your own CAI. Let's chillax and work through it.

The tune works fine with every cat back we've tested, custom or otherwise. The intake threw us for a loop, thats what took so long to try and work out.

If people want to make thier own intakes or run a K&N system for the 5.3L so be it, just dont complain when your motor nukes because you were running 14.2:1 at the top of EACH gear!
Chris , Since you are working on improving the stock intake tract , what are your thoughts on porting the lip on the bottom of the stock throttle body ? Maybe you should test a ported one in addition to the CAI , if it shows a gain you could include it as part of the CAI package .
