Each color also has a "wa" code. This is probably the number you would find on the glove box door. There are also interior, underhood and accent colors available.
Let me know if you need codes or PPG paint formulas. I have all the reference materials.

Recommended Place To Buy
Where would you recommend buying touch-up paint? Ive heard you can go to the dealer, auto parts store, online stores... I've heard about problems wit the dealer and auto parts store, as well as using Duplicolor paint. What would you recommend?

Not in the VIN#.
Look in the glove box, there is a silver sticker (plackard) with lots of stuff on it.
Now look for the number or possibly a number-letter combanation next to the
WA- i.e. 301N or 382E or 926L, those are the codes I use when looking up a color on a car or truck that I'm painting or touching-up.
WA-301N is mine Red Jewel Tint Coat (Tri-coat Red)
I use PPG Nexa AutoColor and the WA code is what my software requires for a color mix.

Sorry for the double post.
Quick correction on GM codes.
On the silver placard (sticker, label) it is "BC/CC" then "U" then "301N"
BC/CC U 301N
It is on the bottom left of the placard.
In my brain, when I see the BC/CC, I automatically translate that to WA.
WA 301N is what the PPG Nexa AutoColor software I use requires for color lookup.
The BC/CC or the U will not work for me.
BC/CC means Base Coat / Clear Coat a two stage process. I don't know what the U stands for.
Sorry about the slight confusion, I have mastered Confusion!
