Thumbs up Pics of a Little more Black

Just thought I'd post my front end for those considering this simple mod with the liquadome inlay.

I stuck a replacement "liftgate emblem" (GM#10336980) on using the 3M tape already on it, with a "Twist". I really should say "twist tie". With the grill off, I could see the portions of the 3M tape not touching the cross members of the grill. So a took a black twist tie and poked it down in the slots, sticking it to the tape up and over the back side of the grill. I then "painted" a layer of black silicone over the twist tie to protect the thin wire from rust. The plactic part does most of the work anyway. Been holding good for a little over a year. I like the look of the grill showing through the badge.

I have also painted the "gray" OEM insert a gloss black w/ clear coat.

(click pic for a real close look)

I attempted to make the margins equal all the way around to produce an as "OEM look" as possible.

Hey, that looks nice!

How did you get it to stay there?

Makes it different. Nice work!
