Alright, I do auto repair and just filed a mechanics lien on a 2008 TBSS3. 47K miles. Perfect condition.
The problem was the collar in the axle disconnect was worn, as the teeth on the axle shaft were also worn. So a new axle disconnect and axle fixed it. Alond with an oil change, total was $860. Shame. I gave this girl 5 months before I filed the lien.
Anyways, since it is AWD, I noticed the axle disconnect doesn't actually disconnect. It's just an all-time pass through. Besides now having a high/low transfer case, is this the difference between AWD and 4WD? I'm a darn mechanic and I just don't understand.
