My bad I have been pretty busy with school and work. It took about a month to get the insurance money. I'm still waiting to get paid for the rental car I had to take out. But I ended up going to Pueblo and buying a 2002 TB Indigo blue, again. It came with 104,000 miles which I think it's pretty good. I did have to replace the fan clutch, water pump, and the 4th ignition coil. I'll have to change the fluids, since I don't know if they have been changed and I need brakes. But I'll have to wait until my next pay check to get this done.

So has there been any meets while I was gone?

Nope, still no Colorado meets. So maybe at some point we can get together and see if anyone else is interested, maybe do some light wheeling up in the mountains to escape the heat.

I need to start looking into fluid replacement on mine as well. I did finally get my PCM from pmc4less, but have not had a chance to do any wheeling or towing to see if I got the improvements I was hoping for. Cleaned my throttle body this week, and finally found a can of nightshades to do some light tinting, but that's about all I've had time for on my truck... too many other projects!

talking about throttle bodies, mine was black because of how dirty it was. what are you thinking of tinting? well if we can get a small group together that would be cool.

I started with the front Chevy logo, but got it a bit heavy, so that is essentially blacked out. No problem, that was my second choice. After that, I did the rear reflectors. Finally got it down, and touched those very lightly. I just don't like how the bright-red contrasts with the vehicle blue. Got a nice smooth coat on them, but still no problem with visibility.

The next item with be the side-mirror blinker lenses. Those will probably get the heaviest coat of anything. By then I should be pretty good at controlling the spray, and I'll tackle the taillights (masking off the backup lights). I've also considered doing the headlights -- I saw one member here who masked off the headlight area, then did a light tint of the rest of the lens, which I thought turned out really great.

I'm just enjoying the overall blue & black look, and tinting out the red and orange lenses is helping move me towards that.

I need to do that to the third brake light and the deflectors. I painted my mirrors and door handles to match the body color. Since my TB is an 02 the lower part of both the front and rear bumper are not painted. I'm thinking about painting them to match the body color or painting them black. I really have not decided what to do.

Yeah I've considered painting the lower plastic parts in black as well. I think it would really look nice, just not sure how well it would wear over the years. My front grill trim is color-matched (by the factory), so the black bowtie is pretty subtle -- much better looking than the original gold. And of course I've also painting my rims black.

Yeah there's nothing like customizing your ride to make it stand out.

Up in Loveland here...just got my TB in July. So much more fun and easier to work on than my VW. I'm up for a meet n greet at some point.
