Angry 2004 Trailblazer LT - where does this part go? - HELP PLEASE

HELP! 2004 Trailblazer LT

Service engine Autozone scan says I need this part (MT0506) , but cannot find where it goes. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

autozone.com/cooling-heating-and-climate-control/relay-blower-motor/santech-relay-blower-motor/946049_739687_1678

They told me it is for the cooling fan motor relay. Cannot locate it anywhere in vehicle.

Thank you in advance.

Marc

Perhaps if you would post the make model and year, someone might be able to help you.

It is a big square box and looks like it connects to frame somewhere. It came with an aluminum ground lead so it does not go in fuse box. Very frustrated.

OK, I believe this relay is used on the 2007 + up Trailblazers and Envoys which have the electrically controlled radiator fan. Not sure where it is mounted, But if you have a 2004 truck, this part is not for you.

On my 05 4.2 there's a fuse for the blower in #35 to check. When you turn the Ac/fan on does it work? if not there's a fuse and a relay to look at and the fuse is probably a lot cheaper. You can usually find out if that's the issue by pulling a similar relay from something the car isn't using and switching it with the suspected bad one to see if it works.

The relay that you linked to in your first post (MT0506) does not have any ground lead attached and belongs in the fusebox under the hood, it's a universal relay that is used for several parts...cooling fan, heater/ac blower, headlights etc.

Being AutoZone I'd suggest they gave you the wrong part.

Knowing the code that was thrown or symptom of what the vehicle is doing could help figure it out.
