Electrical AND Power Train Issues
I've got a 2005 Trailblazer that's been very reliable thus far. It's about -5F outside tonight and it wouldn't start at first. Held the gas pedal to the floor and got it to start.
Now that it's started, my dash is lit up like a Christmas tree. I've got a Check Engine, Power Train, Brake, and ABS light. My 4WD selector is blinking on A4WD and solid on 2WD. Additionally the blower motor is non-functional for the heater.
When using my cheap eBay Code Scanner, the only code is unrelated. It's an evap code from forgetting my gas cap on the roof last week when filling up.
I was able to confirm that I do NOT have ABS or 4WD. I can lock the wheels up very easily by slamming on the breaks, and cannot climb the snowbank by my driveway without spinning the tires.
As for the blower motor, none of the settings (0-5) are functional. The A/C and defrost lights do come on when pressing the buttons, but no blower motor.
Additionally, all of the power locks, windows, mirrors, dash gauges, interior and exterior lights work great!
I've tried unplugging the battery for a few minutes, checking some of the under-hood and under-seat fuses for A/C, PCM, and Blower. The Check Engine light is now gone, but the Power Train , ABS, and Brake lights are still lit up and the behavior is the same.
Wondering what to check next, really hoping to make it into work on Monday.
