Question 2009 TrailBlazer LT - ignition switch?

2009 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LT / inline six engine hi. So this trailblazer started doing this weird thing... when I take out the key and open the door, lights/radio/etc used to shut off. Then I noticed one day sometimes it does, sometimes it does not... well one night this week I suppose it did not and ran the battery down. Not a fun walk home in the cold and rain. Is this something in the switch or is it elsewhere? In the computers? Once I jumped it off it ran fine, volts were great, etc.. I put it on the battery charger when I got it home, just to be sure as it was really drained. Any tips of things to troubleshoot appreciated. -Woog

hi, its the switch in the door, not working properly.

this thread should help, I had same issue on my 2008 envoy, but only on an incline. when truck was level it was fine.

I cleaned latches with brake cleaner, then contact cleaner.

, seemed to do the trick at least for now.
