Seat Question

In my 2005 Envoy XL Denali, all of a sudden, the drivers seat has developed a slight play in front to back movement. Probably can move back and forth 1/2 inch or so. Any ideas what has occurred?

This due to a common failure of all Envoy/Trailblazer models.

The failure occurs on higher mileage vehicles but not all but almost for sure when mileage approaches 150k.

The fix is simple and very inexpensive. It requires seat removal and replacement of two rubber washers on each of the two rails on each seat. There are some good YouTube videos check them out! One in particular is excellent. Feel free to PM me for the link as I will have to locate it.

Best of luck!!

Any chance you can find that video? I looked all over the place and can't find it. The closest I can find is seat removal but in that video they are doing it to fix the seat heater and it doesn't mention fixing the play.
Thanks!

Installation of new seats in not such difficult these days. Otherwise, DIY videos are available at YouTube to fix such issues.

Here you go as you requested. Hope this helps.
These are nylon washers that fail. I have the same issue and found replacement washers to fix this on eBay but never got around to tackling the seat removal. If you want this kit, happy to get it to you as I believe I still have it. It seems to always be the driver seat that is affected.
